About Miss O'Dell

Chris O’Dell is an American who became a key behind-the-scenes figure in 1960s and ’70s rock. Starting as a secretary at the Beatles’ Apple Corps, she went on to work as a personal assistant and tour manager for acts like the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Fleetwood Mac, and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, making her one of the first women in rock tour management.

George Harrison wrote Miss O’Dell about her, while Leon Russell penned Hummingbird and Pisces Apple Lady in her honor. She was present at historic moments like the “Hey Jude” recording and the Beatles’ rooftop concert, later chronicling her experiences in her memoir Miss O’Dell.
